How do you spell - paranoid?
We received this email from a friend - I found it funny but also a sadly somewhat true… at any rate it’s good for a laugh or two… What I have learned from e-mails: Dear Friends, >  I just want to thank all of you for your educational emails over the past year. > Thanks to you, I no longer open a public bathroom door without using a paper towel. > I can’t...

Horton Hears A Who - excellent!
Ok it was a little hard to handle paying $27 for three to get into a movie in the afternoon - especially one that is less than 90 minutes in length - HOWEVER… Donna and I took our 7 year old granddaughter Sarah to see Horton and we were so glad we did.  We all loved it!  Not only are there a number of super spiritual applications about being aware of the voices “we can’t...

Cracked pots
I received this interesting story from Chi Alpha missionary Dave Giles - enjoy - but also please take to heart… A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the end of a pole, which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the...

Hammer Swingers
I recently received a newsletter from missionary Randy Lindsey in Mexico and he made an amazing yet humbling comment in his newsletter.  He made reference to the fact he too was a “hammer swinger”.  Interesting term, huh? Well it of course it refers to the Roman Soldier who nailed the spikes into Jesus hands and feet on the cross.  But I got thinking about what really happened at the...

The reality of Jet-lag...
I made it home from Ukraine this past Saturday and was feeling pretty good - perhaps little or no jet lag - glory to God - it’s a miracle.  Even Sunday at church we had a great service and I felt strong as I shared the message.  Monday was a bit of a day off and a quick jaunt to the mall for lunch with family and then home to answer the over 100 emails that had accumulated - but still I felt...

Doneksi
Since almost every word in this part of the world ends in ski or skaya I thought I would go along with the culture.  I am doneski! Today I finished what was a fulfilling but very tiring venture of teaching Pastor’s and Worker’s Seminars across the countries of Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine.  I am not sure… but this could be the most I have every spoken over a ten day...

"In Search of ?"
My how thIngs have changed over my years of travel.  It’s still not easy in some of these nations – but oh such much better than it used to be!  It’s actually quite amazing how far many of these nations have come with their progress.  Honestly, both Armenia and Georgia REALLY  surprised me.  And it’s also quite obvious that the world wide youth culture is a reality.  I have now seen it in nation...

Connected in Kiev
Hello fellow blogites… Norm Edwards and I have made it to Kiev and now I am connected to an internet. Yea. The only problem is with 6 hours of teaching a day at the Kiev Bible Institute for the next couple of days - I don’t know how much time I will have. Anyway, hope you enjoy a little blog-thought and a picture or two of my latest venture.

Back in touch
Sorry gang I have been out of touch due to not being able to send messages or blogs from Yerevan Armenia.  Let me just say I will report more when I have a chance to get a little sleep since I am leaving the hotel here Tbilisi at 2am for airport and then on to Kiev.  If I can get connected tomorrow I will send a report. Let me just say - Mt Ararat was amazing and I climbed down in the pit where...

Not stalled by Stalin
Greetings all fellow blogites from the land of Georgia and I am not talking Atlanta…rather Tbilisi.  This is a place where communism left a bad mark for a long time - but most of you will remember was one of the first republics to say enough - we’re out of here.  Well after several governmental changes they are the move.  People here are quite open to gospel so the opportunity is...

The Masters and the MASTER
Since I will be out of the country next week doing the work of the MASTER, I will miss my my favorite sporting event the Masters golf tournament.  Of course I can’t wait for my time with the pastors of nations throughout the Caucus region of the world, especially since all these lands were under communist regimes less than 20 years ago.  Of course most of these leaders have not had the...

Oprah Exposed →
I’m not necessarily on a crusade against Oprah… even this week she had the Christian families who had suffered loss and tragedy.  But the very next day she was back in her chameleon role. This video is scary because here you here it right from her mouth… Jesus is NOT the only way …but just one of the ways.  That’s new age folks no matter how popular she is or how...

A Spiritual Experience for sure →
This is worth the watch.  Monks sent me this and I love it!  the Bible says, “and a child will lead them”.  Well I guess this just proves how much we can learn and do if we just apply our hearts to it.  enjoy!
