Everywhere, Everyone - includes me!

What an amazing weekend we just had with our missions banquet and Faith Promise Sunday.  Both were thrilling times for me and hopefully for others. Howard Cummings, my pastor from Aurora, CO days was the speaker and did a great job.  I loved hearing some of the stories again, even if he did get my name wrong in the first service.  But then again I think we were all shook up when we lost power 10 minutes before the service was supposed to start.

But it was a great weekend, and Donna and I had our personal wrestling match with the Lord about how much $$ we could trust Him for during 08’.  Once again the amount scares me and the selfish part of me always tries to over-ride the giving part of me.  May the giver prevail.

Of course asking others to give and make faith promises is a critical part of my job and the whole weekend…and I know I must do it for the sake of the kingdom…but let it be known - I hate doing it. After all these years I am still soooo uncomfortable with the whole money thing.

I know God will come through - he always has.  So on this Monday morning I am at peace…though truly exhausted.

I did have a thrill seeing the Broncos win at the last second over the Steelers…bad break Gordon McLaren.  But must admit I was saddened a few minutes later to turn over to the ALCS and see the Red Sox had just won and will be going to the World Series.  Let’s all say it together - boooo, boooo.  OK Go Rockies - make this Colorado boy proud.
