Afterglow…
Last night I slept like a baby and I think I know why…The Holy Spirit. My mind goes back to those nights a few years ago when Holy Spirit encounters were regular affairs and it would have a direct effect on my (and many others) physical being. Usually it was a kind of warm tingling that just lingered. We last night after an amazing church service I felt it (Him) again and it makes for a great night’s sleep. Thanks Lord.
But I must comment on the service itself. I personally thought it was amazing. Of course any service where the Holy Spirit shows up means things are going to be a little out there, but I have grown to know it will happen. People engaging the power of the Holy Spirit get a “zap” of His presence and it’s anything but normal. And that’s what happened to scores of people last night. I was amazed how many showed up for this service since it was called at the last minute. I continue to love and be amazed at the hunger of the people. Donna and I are so blessed to share life with these folks.
Anyway, our Holy Spirit day was in my opinion wonderful. I always hope they get something out my messages and they will help them in life - but the response last night was incredible. Greatest of all was the scores of people last night who for the first time ever were filled with the Holy Spirit. It was a sight to behold. I also witnessed depressions being broken and several others being delivered from various things. Of course a number of people just wanted a fresh touch from God and the response was out of sight. Thank God we had removed about 60 chairs or we would have never had room.
My only prayer is that we take what happened at the let the afterglow linger on and on!
