Black Friday?
The day after Thanksgiving is now winding down and all the local news is ablaze with the report on Black Friday. By the way sorry for being naive but I have no clue why it’s black? I mean I could understand “red” Friday because people are going nuts shopping and running up credit card debt - and for many it simply means going in the red. The other thing it could be called is “fat” Friday or “guilt” Friday, because most of us managed to over eat big-time. Actually, I did better than I thought…but still could have done better.
Maybe it’s called Black Friday because many people like my daughter in-law were up and out the door before dawn - when it’s still black outside! However, at least for this year I do think I know why it’s Black Friday!
It must be because my beloved Colorado Buff’s football team …who wear black jerseys & pants beat the stuffing out of Nebraska today scoring 65 points and that’s in football man! I guess it would be fair to say they gave them a black eye! Well good now I can relax…I have finally figured what this Black Friday is all about!
