Bah-hum-bug
Ok I want to rant and rave a little bit about the stuff that is really “bugging” me so far this Christmas season…
First of all can we please get back to “Merry Christmas” and stop this happy holidays non-sense. Listen there is a time to draw the line on political correctness…and when the reason for the season - Jesus birth is pushed into the background…that bugs me!” I’m going out of my way to wish people a Merry Christmas this year. On December 31st I might consider “happy holidays”…but it will probably be more like “Happy New Year”.
Second, I am really bugged that Lowe’s homegoods store is now calling the Christmas tree a family tree. What in the world…are you serious? And by the way they confirmed this with the media. Shame on you Lowe’s - you want our business - but not our Savior…Home Depot here I come!
Lastly, I’m really bugged by this Philip Pullman dude and his Dark Materials Trilogy. I hope you are aware that the first book in the series, The Golden Compass, hits theaters in a few days and the whole thing undermines Christian belief. In the books witches are good, the church is bad and God dies in the end! Pullman is quoted in an interview in 2001 - ”My books are about killing God”. Now that really bugs me…
And yet the advertisment for this thing says it is in the line of Chronicles of Narnia….WRONG! See the link for more info and get into the bah-hum-bug things with me
