Saddness…
Well the information has now pretty much filtered out concerning the terrible events in Colorado. At the YWAM center in Arvada and New Life Church in Colorado Springs, young meaningful lives have been lost because of anger, offense and thoughts of vengeance. When will our society every learn we can’t train our children that human life means very little and then be suprised when things like this or even the mall shooting takes place? It is time to seriously pray for a generation coming forth in this nation that is obviously very angry and confused about life in general.
This one also hits close to my heart because not only I am a Colorado boy, but we have so many personal connections. Of course one of the boys from our church is on staff at New Life and this will directly affect his ministry. Please pray for everyone in that church. It is a great place and the innocent people who go to church there are simply amazing God lovers.
And pray for the people in Arvada. Some we have chatted with here in Jersey have been surprised to know that the director of the YWAM and myself were there when this training center (DTS) started - actually in my church in Aurora and later moved to Arvada. Peter Warren personally taught me more about leading worship that anyone I know….I’m praying for you MATE!
And let’s not forget to continue to lift up the youth of this nation. Prayer, love, guidance and support is critical for this next generation. Let’s be careful not to stereotype all of them… because so many of them are awesome…but we really do need to pray! Let’s get after - what are we waiting for anyway?
