Steroids, shooting and Savior
Strange days we are living in, huh? Actually I spoke in central Jersey last night and one of the guys at our table said it best. These are the days the Bible calls…”lawlessness”. How true…how sad.
So what are we to do, or as the great Francis Shaeffer once commented, “how then should we live?” Well in days like these I take great comfort in the solace of a personal savior. While the world goes nuts, I live with the words the angel told Mary…”these are days of peace for all men on whom his favor rests”. OK Lord, I think I got it! Not peace for the world in general, but peace and favor for all who embrace you. Thank you Lord for making it simple.
Whether it’s the grip of fear that tries to hold on to us when we hear of shootings in malls and churches…or the nervousness of tomorrow’s steroid report on Baseball and man’s favorite past-time taking a knockout punch - I choose to rest in a savior….how about you?
