Well how about just a quick word on the Easter services yesterday at BC. For the preacher there is nothing more exciting than to see sell-out crowds… but yesterday was over the top -literally! Two packed services (perhaps the largest in our history and definitely the biggest in the 22 years I’ve been there.) But what I loved was the theme the Lord led us to share. Christ’s death and resurrection has taken us from death to life! (John 5:24)
I loved the BC team’s idea to build the open tomb and then have one side filled with “dead” stuff and the other with “life”…it looked like a garden. So today I asked the Lord to not allow this wonderful theme to be left in the yesterday of our experience, but rather to help all people who follow Christ live out each day the resurrection power of life over death… after all Jesus has made such power available to each of us. So have a powerful week - for real!
