The Masters and the MASTER
Since I will be out of the country next week doing the work of the MASTER, I will miss my my favorite sporting event the Masters golf tournament. Of course I can’t wait for my time with the pastors of nations throughout the Caucus region of the world, especially since all these lands were under communist regimes less than 20 years ago. Of course most of these leaders have not had the on-going opportunities for education and training that we’ve not only enjoyed but taken for granted.
Well I really hope to change that at least for some. So, I appreciate the prayer coverage… but in the mean time - it pains me to think of Tiger and Phil blasting the ball down the middle of the finely groomed fairways of Augusta. Or golfer after golfer swallowing hard as they navigate the very tough holes of Amen Corner. And with the flowers in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous; even the landscape will prove to be a distraction for world’s best.
So since the Master’s is at hand - let me leave you with a few tidbits to think about. Now hopefully I will be able to do a little blogging from afar - but I have no clue about internet access in Tibilisi and beyond.
So golf fans think about this:
Everyone is a 2 handicapper on the practice range!
So play quickly - you’re not Tiger Woods.
I hope this year to personally shoot in the 70’s… but then again it’s rarely that cool during the summer months.
