Not stalled by Stalin

Greetings all fellow blogites from the land of Georgia and I am not talking Atlanta…rather Tbilisi.  This is a place where communism left a bad mark for a long time - but most of you will remember was one of the first republics to say enough - we’re out of here.  Well after several governmental changes they are the move.  People here are quite open to gospel so the opportunity is grand.  Over the past days I have been training leaders both here in Tbilisi and in another major city Kutaisi, about six hours round trip through the mountains (gorgeous reminds me of Colorado).  But it is always exciting to minister in places where God is doing things.  There are five major hotels being built here right now so the place is growing fast and someday could be a major hub for this part of the world.  The leaders here are hungry for a move of God - so they loved hearing the stories of what God has done in other parts of the world - including our own church.

Aside from a little travel belly, very little sleep - (barking dogs and this morning an ambitious rooster started in at 5am.) and swollen ankles this has been great.

We drove back yesterday and sidetracked off the road to the town of Gori - where Joseph Stalin was born.  We went to the very house…creepy.  This man killed 5 times more people than Hilter…most of them his own.

It was strange looking at a place where a demoniac was raised…and later his rulership would oppress this people big time.  But today people are no longer stalled by Stalin.  They are on the move and deserve our prayers.

In about on hour I head to Armenia by car over some huge mountains and conditions at the border you just never know about.  Appreciate all your prayers, and If I can find another internet hookup I will let you know about that place too.
