Doneksi

Since almost every word in this part of the world ends in ski or skaya I thought I would go along with the culture.  I am doneski! Today I finished what was a fulfilling but very tiring venture of teaching Pastor’s and Worker’s Seminars across the countries of Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine.  I am not sure… but this could be the most I have every spoken over a ten day period…and my raspy voice and still swollen ankles prove it.  I’ve lost track of the hours - so let’s just say a lot.  I enjoyed every one of the sessions and really hope the people did too.  I’ve also enjoyed each and every country for they all have some unique and wonderful about them.  What’s most amazing is, it doesn’t matter which country I visit, I always find people hungry for more of God; eager to learn more about him and discover better ways to serve him.  For example, today I met a great group of young adults who drove all the way from Dnipropetrovs’k (about 5-6 hours to Kiev) for the two days of teaching.  Also today one of the young ladies interpreted for me and did a great job.  Thanks Natasha - you were awesome.

Lastly let me comment I am more convinced than ever that we are in the last days and God is building his world-wide army.  Almost all of the hundreds of people I have trained have been first class warriors for God.  Further the pastors and bishops have been humble and yet brilliant men who work hard for God.  One day I sat having lunch with pastor Raphael and as I listened to him share his powerful story of being arrested numerous times during the communist regime - I thought to myself - “what in the world am doing teaching this man - I need to be learning from him”.  The point is God has men and women everywhere that are his secret weapons and once again I have had a chance to meet some of them.  Of course this also goes for the super group of missionaries I have had the honor of spending time with over these past several days.  Thanks to Norm Edwards who has been my host and traveling buddy throughout the trip.  What a fun guy - who is highly skilled and great at what he does.  So now I am anxious to get back to Jersey and back in the groove.
