Capitalism or capitolism… I weigh in

Of course I have been watching this economic woe with everyone else - but I think I want to weigh in on this.  Because no one likes long blogs I will keep this short.  But we keep reading about the crashing of our system of capitalism  (see link)… however, in my humble opinion we have not been involved in real capitalism in a long time.  Actually, for years we have been involved in  much more of a modern feudalism than we have capitalism.  In true capitalism such as we experienced for a long time, everyone in some way profited.  In other words the American dream was not only a possibility but likely to happen to most families.

But today we have a system where people are kind of allowed to live in the land of the feudal lords - also called politicians and corporate CEO’s and they let us have some of the fruit of the land - but all of the gain goes to them.  As never before we are seeing the rich get richer (and this is not George Bush’s fault by the way) - but the decline of the middle class is happening at a frightening pace.   The feudal lords of old took the prosperity of the people as their own - and allowed a meager existence to take place for society in general… sound familiar?

It’s time to get out eyes off of the system and and on God as never before!  Enough for now!
